Contributor guidelines

Are you interested in being published in Recruitment Marketing Magazine?

We are always on the lookout for great content, fresh perspectives, original ideas, and interesting takes from business leaders about recruitment marketing. There is no charge for editorial contributions.

What we look for

If you’re a journalist, HR director, or business leader hoping to share your organisation’s recruitment marketing strategies, we’d love to hear from you.

We look for articles with a clear, direct message and actionable advice for our readers.

Our readership consists of HR Directors, CEOs, and business leaders. Write with this demographic in mind: how is your topic relevant to them? How can they use the information to make a difference in their organisation?

We welcome all articles related to recruitment marketing and are excited about topics such as:

  • employer branding
  • recruitment advertising
  • shortlisting and selection
  • talent engagement.

You can promote your organisation or vendors, provided you disclose financial or personal agreements and the topic is relevant to our readership. We encourage you to use your experiences or data to explore a topic or illuminate a trend. But avoid sales pitches!

Think about your personal experience. Do you have a unique perspective on a recruitment marketing challenge you have overcome? Is there a successful talent attraction strategy your organisation uses that’s a little different to others?

Interview opportunities

Are you looking to share your current recruitment marketing strategy and gain publicity for your organisation?

Contact us to discuss opportunities for us to interview you or your organisational leaders. (See the below guidelines on submitting a pitch.)

Before you submit

Please view our style guidelines and check your article against it before submitting. Recruitment Marketing Magazine has special guidelines for things such as capitalisation, punctuation, and word count.

The byline articles we publish typically range from 500-800 words. How many words do you need to tell your story? We do consider (and enjoy!) longer articles.

Use trustworthy sources and provide links to the original sources in your article. Disclose if you have conducted any interviews, or if you have any financial or personal relationships with the organisations or individuals in your article.

Submit an article or pitch

Send queries, pitches, article and video submissions, and/or pictures to our editor Susanne Mather at editor@recruitmentmarketing.com.au

Still unsure about what to submit? Browse Recruitment Marketing Magazine to read the types of articles we publish and subscribe to our fortnightly alert. (In our 100% professional and unbiased opinion, you should definitely do this anyways… We promise you won’t regret it!)

Deadlines

Unless your article is time-sensitive, there are none. Our publication schedule depends on the number of articles and feature articles in our pipeline. We usually publish articles within two weeks after they have been accepted, edited, and approved.

After your submission

We endeavour to respond to submissions as quickly as humanly possible!

Please note that accepted submissions will be subject to revisions for grammar, accuracy, clarity, and length. If your submission is successful, the editorial team will request a 50-100 word bio and professional headshot of you prior to publication. (Glamour shots are also acceptable.)
